FULL SLUDGE PROCESSING (our way)

Sludge processing and full remediation and neutralization of contaminants and residue requires many stages. Our equipment in combination with additives specialized in enhancing separation of each component to then process it further. Finally, the elimination of contaminants and residual hydrocarbons completes the job.

Our Mobile Modular Systems are designed for the complete process of any sludge, petroleum waste and wastewater affluent. Separation, Recovery and Remediation of all components with the successful reduction of TPH and contaminants.

Complex Oil Separation & Remdiation

These are the main stages:

Collection & Removal

Removal of sludge from sources like pits and tanks requires different tools. Sludge can be in liquid or solidified form like Tar. Temperature, solvents and additives can be used to make the sludge more workable and fluid.

Separation

Complex Oil Separation is the process of recovering components mixed in the sludge, like valuable hydrocarbons. This requires the process of the water and removal of solid particles. As the sludge is separated its volume is reduced and its components purified. After recovering hydrocarbons and separating water, solids are collected and removed from the system to process separately.

Affluent Degradation by Digestion

Digestion of residual waste is an alternative that is gaining ground in successful and environmentally friendly remediation processes. Systems containing bacteria for digestion of waste are proven in municipal waster management complex like the one recently placed in operation in the city of Bello, north of Medellin.

Research supports that Bacteria is by far the best way to degrade of hydrocarbons. Bacteria degradation has been used in the industry for many decades. Selecting the best bacteria for the degradation of petroleum waste components should be a mayor part of the success of the remediation process. However, the exposure to the environment and the bacteria living environment have recently become the mayor areas of study, to enhance and promote the metabolism of the bacteria.
